Steven (Steve) Anderson has practiced in the area of Family Law and Litigation since 1983. He is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He founded the J. Steven Anderson Law Firm to specialize in family law after having been a partner in two larger law firms. Mr. Anderson's goal is to protect your interest in premarital, divorce, post-divorce and other situations where specialized experience and expertise in family law is essential. His experience and ability to work closely with other professionals specializing in finance, estate planning, and business transactions offers you the advantage of a broad perspective in determining how to best approach the complex issues associated with premarital, divorce and post-divorce matters. He has been trained in general mediation and has received specialized training for mediation Family Law issues.

Mr. Anderson assists men and women in negotiation, mediation and litigation of:

Premarital and Post-marital Agreements: including consultation, negotiation of and drafting valid and enforceable agreements, and review of existing agreements to determine if they are valid, enforceable and in his client's best interest.

Divorce: including "no fault,""uncontested," "contested," and "high conflict" divorce, financial planning in anticipation of divorce, property division, spousal support (alimony), parenting privileges and obligations (custody and child support).

Post-Divorce Issues: including modification of existing court orders regarding spousal support, child support, child custody, child relocation and others.

Mr. Anderson has presided as Special Judge in the General Sessions Court and Chancery Court of Shelby County, Tennessee. He is a member of the Memphis and Shelby County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association, and is a member of the Family Law Section of both bar associations. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section for the Tennessee Bar Association. He is a former Co-Chairman of the Memphis Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Committee. He was appointed to serve as a member of the Enhanced Child Support Enforcement Committee for the Tennessee Department of Human Services. He has been honored by being chosen as a Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. He has served as President of Germantown-Nonconnah Exchange Club and as member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at one of Memphis' finest independent schools.

Mr. Anderson received his Bachelor's Degree from Lambuth College in 1980. He received his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from the University of Memphis in 1983.

Jill Lee joined J. Steven Anderson Law Firm, PLLC in 2011. She and her family relocated to the Memphis area in 1999. She attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Clients benefit from Jill's extensive family law and litigation support experience with over 30 years experience as a paralegal. Jill handles multiple case management responsibilities through entire litigation cycle for a busy practice. She is the day-to-day point of contact for our clients.

In her free time, Jill enjoys traveling, time with her grandsons and Alabama football.
